Just in time for Cub Camps and district activities! The SJAC Shooting Sports Committee is offering required shooting sports training/recertification.

The SJAC Shooting Sports Committee has a very active training program for adult leaders to get the proper certifications to incorporate Shooting Sports into council and district programs. However to do all this takes a well trained group of adults with the proper certifications to run the ranges for units on these events.

What certifications are needed?

For Cub Scout archery at least one adult with the BSA Archery Rangemaster.
(certifies you to run an archery range)

For Cub Scout BB gun at least one adult with the BSA BB Gun Rangemaster.
(certifies you to run a BB range)

These are minimum requirements along with having at least one other adult at least 21 years old. This is our only Cub Scout Shooting Sports training in the Spring! Each day or twilight camp must have sufficient trained leadership to run BB and Archery ranges.
